Focused Conversation
The Focused Conversation is a structured process that facilitates a meaningful exchange of ideas. Often there is confusion, disagreement, and dysfunction within groups around difficult issues because individuals are at different stages of a natural problem-solving process: - identifying the facts, - relating them to their own experience, - understanding the implications, and - determining appropriate responses. If steps of this natural process are skipped in the group setting inappropriate decisions are made. The Focused Conversation method brings everybody along through the necessary process so that each individual is at a place where they can work together as a group to quickly surface and capture ideas that represent the group's best thinking.
